R Moulding & Co is helping to support an appearance by Terry Waite, who will be discussing his personal account of his harrowing experience as a hostage in his book Taken on Trust in conversation with The Very Revd June Osborne at Salisbury Playhouse on Friday 2 June, at 7.30pm.

Terry Waite was taken hostage in 1987 and survived for 1,763 days in captivity, almost four years of which were in solitary confinement.

His autobiography is a heart-rending account of how he survived and the conversation with June Osborne, Dean of Salisbury will give us an insight into human life on the edge and how we then live with difficult memories and move on.

Established in 1798, Salisbury builders R Moulding & Co is a family owned and family managed business based in South Newton, just outside the cathedral city of Salisbury. Bill and Tim Moulding are the current working co-owners of the business.

“We are delighted to support Salisbury Festival once again as it is a wonderful high quality local event, bringing world class performers and art to our city,” said Bill.

“We are thrilled to be supporting the In Conversation with Terry Waite which promises to be a fascinating account of his ordeal and his life since.”

Festival director Toby Smith said: “We are delighted to be working with R Moulding & Co once again, in their third year of supporting the Festival.

Our ‘In conversation’ events are a popular element of the Festival and local sponsors such as Moulding help to ensure that we can bring well-known names to the Festival each year.”
