Sales and customer service trainer Alison Edgar has been shortlisted for the Heart of Gold category in a national small business competition.
The Small Awards are celebrating their inaugural event with a glittering back tie dinner in London on May 25 hosted by TV's Sue Perkins.
The Small Awards organised by Peak b Ltd who also runs a number of national campaigns for small businesses including Small Business Saturday and Do it Digital.
The competition has attracted major sponsors including Facebook, Indeed.com, Mercedes-Benz and Sage. Among the judges are Sir Vince Cable, Kiki Loizou, small business editor at The Sunday Times, Siobhan Kennedy, business editor at Channel 4 news, and Emma Jones MBE, founder of Enterprise Nation.
Alison, who operates under the name of The Entrepreneur's Godmother, said: “It is an absolute honour to shortlisted for such an amazing award.
“I do my best to support the small business community in anyway I can including giving my time to organise regional and national events, mentoring start up businesses and students.
“To have this recognised means so much to me and my team.”
