A former marketing executive who had to reapply for her job just two years after taking up the position will be the guest speaker at the next Inspire business breakfast.
Happily for Michelle Donelan, who was elected as MP for the Chippenham constituency – which also includes Corsham, Bradford on Avon, Melksham – in 2015, she increased her vote share and majority in the 2017 snap general election.
Shortly after winning the seat, Michelle was appointed to the Education Select Committee, where she became part of the Sub-Committee on Education, Skills and the Economy.
She backed Remain in the 2016 EU referendum.
Before the election of 2015 she was a Trustee of Help Victims of Domestic Violence, a charitable organisation based in Chippenham, and a member of the Steering Group of Wiltshire Carers, on which she works with local employers to find ways to provide more flexible working systems for carers.
The breakfast will be held at Cumberwell Golf Park, Bradford on Avon, BA15 2PQ from 7.30am to 9am on Friday, July 21. Attendance costs £16 for members and £36 for non-members. For more information, or to book a place, visit www.inspirebiz.co.uk/events
