A Chippenham entrepreneur has won a prestigious national award for her new beauty salon.
Hazelwood Beauty Salon at Sutton Benger was named the Best Small Salon in the UK by the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology.
“It’s a huge compliment to receive this award. BABTAC is firmly focused on upholding standards within the beauty industry. It’s a genuine honour for my team and I to receive such a prestigious award and to be recognised as being leaders in our sector,” said founder Sam Francome.
BABTAC is a not-for-profit professional organisation for those working in beauty, hair, holistic and sports therapy industries. Its aim is to raise industry standards and it has a rigorous ethical code and demands high professional practice from its members.
Sam first welcomed clients for their treatments in a room in her home over 15 years ago. Today she has moved into a bespoke and purpose-built salon with four treatment rooms and a nail lounge at The Stable in Sutton Benger.
The trained mentor and lifestyle coach, says she’s received nothing but praise from her regular customers about the new premises.
“I have listened to our clients over the years. From the moment someone arrives, as a team we aspire to go beyond their expectations.
“We’re extremely conscious of their busy lifestyles and have created a happy and peaceful environment where the focus is on them. In offering the beauty, holistic and cosmetic services they require, we’re now booking our loyal clients and teenagers far ahead, and are currently recruiting new therapists to join our already happy team at Hazelwood.”
Sam and her team includes four fully qualified therapists and two front of house staff. They offer professional brands including the Decleor skincare range, Jessica manicure and pedicures and CACI non-surgical facelift facials.
They have an experienced aesthetic practitioner, Dr Jennifer Boone, who has been attracting clients to Hazelwood. Dr Boone offers treatments including dermal fillers and Botox treatments for both men and women.
