A mock tribunal is to be run by law firm Royds Withy King, to give employers and HR managers a taste of what happens at an employment tribunal hearing.
The free and interactive event will provide attendees with an insight into how a claim is dealt with, the evidence that is put forward and the common mistakes that can make the difference between winning and losing.
It comes following the recent Supreme Court decision to remove Employment Tribunal fees, making Tribunals free and more readily accessible to potential claimants.
Attendees will get tips on:
- defending any claims businesses may face
- how evidence is dealt with at a hearing, and
- how to handle internal processes and decision making, so as to increase a firm's chances of a successful outcome in tribunal
Proceedings will be heard by James Dawson, a real employment judge and specialised practitioner in employment law. The event is hosted by Royds Withy King employment law team partner Lauren Harkin.
The event will be held at STEAM Museum, Fire Fly Avenue, Swindon, SN2 2EY on Wednesday, September 27 from 4pm until 7.15pm.
