Wiltshire law firm Goughs is one of only eight firms nationally to have been shortlisted for the prestigious Law Society Excellence Awards in the category of Excellence in Law Management.
Focused around business processes, management operations and finance, the Excellence in Law Management category celebrates an innovation or change management initiative which has produced a significant improvement to performance.
The ‘Goughs Values’ initiative put forward for nomination involves the creation of a trust-based environment and a shared vision to help inspire all employees, allowing them to take ownership over performance enhancing interactions every day.
The firm says its aim is to foster an engaging, high performance culture which is celebrated through reward and recognition.
Kevin Basnett, managing partner of Goughs Solicitors said: “Nationally, nominations are from the brightest and best of the legal profession.
“Whilst our shortlisting is a mark of prestige in itself, it also reflects the hard work, dedication and investment that has taken place throughout the firm. Everyone has contributed. It has been a real team effort.
“As a firm we have also recently secured the Law Society’s law management quality mark, Lexcel, for the sixth consecutive year. Therefore our clients and staff can rest assured that the way we manage the practice is efficient and effective and has now received national recognition.”
The winners will be announced at the Law Society’s awards ceremony on Thursday, October 19 at the Hilton Park Lane, where the very best work and practices in the legal profession will be celebrated.
