A consultant who helps companies select and develop the right staff – both externally and internally – is celebrating his fifth anniversary.
People Business Psychology was launched from the kitchen table of Jan de Jonge’s home in the Pewsey Vale.
And since 2012 demand for his skills has taken him all over Europe and to the middle east. In the past six months alone he has worked in Spain, Germany, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia.
And jet-setting Jan is committed to his local community: he mentors pupils at both Pewsey Vale School and St John’s Academy in Marlborough, and is chairman of the Kennet branch of the Federation for Small Businesses.
“Having worked in business psychology in Holland and London, I started my own business on my kitchen table with my laptop,” recalls Jan.
“My first job was giving one-to-one coaching to a businessman preparing a keynote speech for a conference in eastern Europe.
“Since then I’ve helped schools select senior managers, helped medical companies build successful teams, and, for instance, developed managers at Avon Fire and Rescue.
“Today, business takes me all over the world, and I’m looking forward to working with a client in America very soon, and to growing People Business Psychology with some new recruits of my own.”
