Swindon’s Pegasus Brass Band, singers, roast chestnuts, and fairground rides entertained the children while mums and dads shopped ‘til they dropped from over 50 stalls.

Plenty of food, from bratwurst and pizza to waffles, was on offer to keep visitors and stall holders going – and parents while they waited for the children to visit Santa.

“We love welcoming in visitors to the brewery before Christmas, said Arkell’s Head Brewer, Alex Arkell. “It’s a special season for everyone, and while it is our busiest time of year, it’s always fun to take a Saturday off to welcome our Swindon friends and neighbours in.”

The Arkell’s Christmas market is now a regular date in the town’s Festive calendar and the brewery is delighted to announce that next year’s Christmas Outdoor Market will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 10am-3pm.

And next year, with the brewery celebrating its 175th anniversary, it’s likely to be a very special market indeed.
