Grants available for low carbon companies

Businesses looking to develop or introduce new low carbon energy products, services, or technologies in Swindon and Wiltshire could be eligible for a share of a £3.75m funding pot.

Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership announced the launch of two grant funds by the European Regional Development Fund this week.

Up to £1m is available to fund projects that support smaller businesses become more energy and resource efficient, supporting productivity and competitiveness whilst reducing emissions.

And a larger fund of £2.75m is available for projects that bring forward innovations, deployments and demonstrations of low carbon technologies that improve sustainable energy provision and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the area.

The deadline for applications is Friday, January 26, 2018 and the Swindon and Wiltshire ERDF Technical Assistance team are offering pre-application advice to potential applicants from 9am until 11am on Friday, January 12 at Wiltshire Council’s Monkton Park offices in Chippenham.
