Breakfast offers update for those still struggling with GDPR

on .

Oliver PriceOliver PriceOne of the region's leading authorities on GDPR will be updating business leaders at the Inspire Business Breakfast later this month.

Oliver Price, of law firm Wansbroughs, has described the new General Data Protection Regulation as “the biggest compliance change I’ve seen in my career to date.” His weekly blog on the topic is currently on its 17th instalment.

The GDPR – an EU initiative, but applicable to UK firms even after Brexit – will be replacing the Data Protection Act. It will govern the nature of, and how much, data business and organisations can hold on individuals, and how that data is held, used, and protected.

The rules come into force on May 25 this year, and non-compliance can attract fines of €20m or four percent of annual turnover, whichever is higher.

The Inspire Business Breakfast will be held at Cumberwell Golf Park, Bradford on Avon on Friday, February 23 from 7.30am until 9am. Attendance costs £16 for members and £36 for non-members.
