Swindon influencer to judge blog awards

The UK Blog Awards recognise Digital Content Creators in both an Individual capacity as well as Business, culminating in the premier Influencer Award Ceremony in the UK.

The UK Blog Awards have appointed top influencer and TV presenter Gina Akers as head judge for her expertise in social media and Influencer engagement.

The organisers noted: “Gina’s wealth of experience and expertise in the influencer industry makes her a fantastic person for this role."

Gina – whose great-grandfather Alderman Francis Elliott Akers gifted Lydiard House to the people of Swindon in 1943 – is a PR consultant with over 20 years of PR and marketing experience including supporting events, entertainment, start up business and SMEs.

She is a long established writer and blogger having written for many national titles including a blog for Hello magazine online.

She has provided social media and influencer engagement consultancy to many emerging and large corporate brands such as Innocent, Igloo, BirdsEye, Pop Chips, Astral, and Odor-Eaters.

With over 20,200 followers on Twitter alone, Gina has a combined organic real following of over 66k.

She is a top 10 percent online influencer in beauty and lifestyle, and a top 10 percent influencer on LinkedIn with over 20,500 followers and over 19,500 connections on the platform.

She has been recognised and rewarded by LinkedIn USA for being a prolific user of the UK LinkedIn social media platform.
