Launched in January last year, Switch On To Swindon has already signed up more than 600 Ambassadors representing over 400 businesses with the aim of talking up – not talking down – the town.
And at a networking event on Thursday, June 14 from 6pm to 8pm the team will be launching phase two at "at a new and cutting-edge venue within Swindon", the identity of which will be revealed next month.
The campaign will move towards actively promoting Swindon externally, and putting the town in the best possible position to compete with other UK towns and cities for the best investment, talent and business growth.
The campaign has the backing of two of the town's largest employers, Nationwide and Intel, whose marketing teams are volunteering their time to develop an externally focused advertising strategy and campaign for Swindon.
And a new Visit Swindon website will be unveiled at the networking meeting, which is open to all Switch on to Swindon ambassadors and local businesses whom have an interest in supporting and promoting Swindon as a great place to work, live, visit and invest in.
