T H White, the Swindon-based dealer of Fiat, Alpha Romeo and Jeep, has been acquired by Johnsons Cars, one of the UK's largest independent dealership groups.
T H White's Forest Park Road, Hillmead showroom, which can hold over 20 cars indoors and has a large used cars forecourt, will be rebranded Johnsons.
All current staff members will transfer to Johnsons, under general manager Peter James. T H White will focus on its core agricultural brand.
A Johnsons spokesman said: "Both Johnsons and the T H WHITE Motor Group take pride in providing outstanding and professional customer care, so we are delighted to be welcoming these new staff members to the Johnsons family.
"Customers can expect to receive the same high degree of care and professionalism that they have become accustomed to, from the staff they have come to know and trust."
The acquisition means Johnsons now represents 15 brands including the Jeep and Fiat Commercial marques for the first time.
It also sees T H White's exit from the motor trade, following the sale of its Land Rover business in Royal Wootton Bassett in 2015.
A T H White spokesman said: "The sale of the Fiat Chrysler Automobile brand centre has resulted from a strategic decision which will see T H White Group focus on its core machinery divisions, projects division, energy, and fire security division.
