Accountancy firm MHA Monahans has been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award in recognition of their growth over the last three years.
The AccountingExcellence Practice Growth Firm of the Year Award recognises forward-thinking, innovative growth strategies that push standards of excellence in the accountancy profession.
Over the last three years, MHA Monahans has experienced impressive growth across the South West thanks to a strategic combination of mergers and organic growth, which has seen the firm’s turnover increase by 20%.
Simon Tombs, MHA Monahans’ managing partner, said: “We’re very pleased to have been shortlisted for the Practice Growth Firm of the Year award in recognition of our focus over the last few years in building our expertise and reach in the South West.
“Our primary focus has always been to continue delivering the excellent level of service that our clients have come to expect from us as standard and to enhance this with additional services.
"It is imperative to us that we retain our values and ethos as an independent, client-focused firm, while continuing to develop our sector specialisms, reach and the knowledge that comes with our growth and rising position in the profession.
“There are a number of excellent opportunities for businesses across the region, particularly with the growth and investment we’re currently seeing around the extension of Hinkley Point.
"This led us to identify Somerset as a key growth area and 18 months ago we completed our merger with Taunton-based BJ Dixon Walsh, which also helped to further our reach into the South West.
“We’re proud too of our membership of MHA – a national association of independent accountancy firms – as reflected by our recent name change.
"As the South West representative firm, we can access and provide specialist advice on a national and also on an international level with our membership of Baker Tilly International.”
The winners will be announced on 20 September 2018.
