Entrepreneur Angela De Souza is launching the sixth annual Maximise Conference celebrating women in business from the South West.
Maximise will take place in December this year and will feature a keynote speaker, workshops, an exhibition, an authors’ hub and opportunities to network with women involved in the Women’s Business Clubs including the Swindon club, which meets monthly in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Organiser Angela said: “This is now an established annual event for our members across our clubs to come together, learn from each other and to be inspired. Running your own business is hard work and we all need ‘moments’ to take stock and meet others.
“This event is not just about women though – it’s open to any business person who wishes to attend and meet new faces and be inspired by new experiences.”
The conference will take place at Cheltenham’s historic Pittville Pump Room on Wednesday, December 5 and the main sponsor is Jelf, expert insurance brokers.
“Maximise is a fantastic opportunity to connect with other professional women from across the UK and spend the day focusing at working on your business and not in it. We have some really exciting sessions set up, such as speed networking, Dragoness Den, the Author Hub, our fashion show, inspirational talks and the grand finale the Business Woman of the Year awards.”
Angela added: “Women’s Business Club members get to know each other online across the country throughout the year, but it’s at Maximise where everyone gets to meet face to face and really cement those budding relationships.”
The event will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm, with the Women’s Business Awards ceremony rounding off the day, celebrating the best businesses across the clubs. While the awards are open to Women’s Business Club members only, non-members are welcome to attend Maximise and participate in all other events.
