The UK’s only permanent visitor centre for people building their own home has sponsored a footballer called House.
The Swindon-based National Self Build & Renovation Centre is sponsoring Swindon Town striker Ben House.
Ben has joined Swindon from neighbours Reading FC on loan until the end of the season and has scored 11 goals for Reading U23’s this season as well as feature for Scotland’s U20’s team.
The NSBRC was named as a new Swindon Town Gold Business Partner at the beginning of the season and as part of the relationship they have a large display board within the ground, as well as an advert in every match day programme, attracting fans who are interested in improving their homes.
NSBRC managing director Harvey Fremlin said: "“We are very happy to support our home team and when a player named ‘House’ joined the squad we couldn’t not take up the opportunity to extend our partnership – as creating great housing is what we’re all about.
"We wish Ben every success during his time at Swindon and hope he can provide the goals to get the team back up the table in 2019."
Swindon Town's marketing executive, Kay Wainwright, said: "We were delighted to welcome the National Self Build & Renovation Centre into our family.
"What better fit than for them to sponsor a player called House. It’s really nice for Ben to know he has the support of the local community."
The NSBRC team will be at the Energy Check County Ground this Saturday (January 12) before the home fixture against Lincoln City, promoting their ‘National Self Build & Renovation Show’ which is held at the NSBRC from January 25 to 27.
