Swindon Social Enterprise Network holds its inaugural networking meeting this month, with the premiere of a film about the town's community radio station, Swindon 105.5 FM.
The film was shot and produced by Swindon-based Create Studios – which itself is a social enterprise. It will be introduced by Swindon 105.5 FM's chief executive Shirley Ludford and Create Studios' artistic director Shahina Johnson MBE.
The Swindon Social Enterprise Network is an unincorporated community voluntary interest group, launched in November 2018, established to support social enterprises operating in the town.
Social enterprises are businesses established with the primary aim of putting people and communities before profits and shareholders.
The Social Enterprise Network offers business start-up support for those wanting to know how to go about starting up a social enterprise, as well as networking opportunities.
The event takes place at the Link Centre, Swindon on Wednesday, January 30 from 4.30pm to 6.15pm. For more information, or to book a place, visit https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ssen-networking-meeting-tickets-54529985655
