The Wadworth Visitor Centre, brewery museum and tours has secured its place as one of the best in the UK.
The brewery managed to increase its previous rating under Visit England's Visitor Attraction Quality Assurance Scheme by two percent – taking it to 92 percent.
“Wadworth remains one of the country's leading brewery tours and the Visitor Centre is well known as a very successful smaller attraction in the Wessex region," said Visit England's assessors.
"There are high standards evident at every stage in the visitor journey. It is therefore no surprise the staff team are passionate about quality and standards, are always looking for ways to do things differently and better, are committed to consistent on-going quality improvement, and that they have won a range of tourism awards in recent years."
Wadworth CEO Chris Welham said: "“We are incredibly proud of this recognition by Visit England. To have increased our score is a real achievement and great testament to the team who conduct our tours.
"I know from first-hand experience how good the Wadworth Brewery tour is and how hard the team work to make this so informative and enjoyable for our guests. We are looking forward to welcoming even more visitors in 2019."
Last year, 17,000 visitors passed through the doors of the brewery – up 3.7 percent on the year before – to watch beer being brewed, meet the brewery's own dray horses Max, Sam and Archie, and see pub signs being hand painted by their sign shop artists.
