Chippenham Business Awards winners 2019Chippenham Business Awards winners 2019The overall winner of the 2019 Chippenham Business Awards has been confirmed as the headline sponsor of the 2020 event.

The business awards, which take place in February each year, are the largest business to business event in Chippenham and are now entering their fourth year, with Chippenham-based Alliance Pharmaceuticals Ltd as the primary sponsor.

In February Alliance was crowned Business of the Year and named Best Business for Which to Work.

The awards are organised by Chippenham Business Improvement District. BID manager Kathryn Crosweller said: “It is so exciting that Alliance Pharmaceuticals has come on board as the title sponsor for the first time this year.

"This is a large, well respected company with its headquarters in Chippenham and to have their support reinforces the significance of an event that is about celebrating the achievements of local businesses in an increasingly difficult environment for many.”

Alliance Pharmaceuticals is a publicly owned international healthcare business listed on AIM, part of the London Stock Exchange.

The firm started trading in 1998 and have grown strongly to an annual turnover over £130 million. At the heart of the business is a diverse team of dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced professionals working together to provide much needed medicines and healthcare products around the world.

Alliance Pharmaceuticals’ offices are located in the heart of Chippenham, and they also have offices in Paris, Milan, Madrid, Cary (North Carolina), Düsseldorf, Dublin, Shanghai and Singapore.

CEO Peter Butterfield said: “We were pleased to be part of the 2019 Chippenham Business Awards last year and were proud to win two awards, including Chippenham Business of the Year.

Chippenham is really important to us, as our headquarters, and our building particularly so with its fine heritage as the landmark Nestle factory in Chippenham.

"As the outgoing winner we would really like to be able to pass on the baton to the overall winner of the 2020 Chippenham Business Awards, and we’re thrilled to be joining the event as title sponsor.”

Chippenham Business Awards 2020 has also received a range of support from both returning and new sponsors including 24-7 Staffing, Aaron and Jonathon Bewley Funeral Directors, Awdry Bailey & Douglas, HPH Ltd., Huw Thomas Commercial, Best Western Angel Hotel, and Wiltshire College.
