Chippenham's best businesses, from the smallest to the largest, are being urged to put their names forward for the fourth annual Chippenham Business Awards.
Organised by Chippenham BID and sponsored by Alliance Pharmaceuticals Ltd, the Chippenham Business Awards is the largest business to business event in Chippenham, and has seen a huge growth in popularity in its short life.
From its debut in 2017 to the most recent event, in 2019, there was an increase in entries of 38 percent, an increase that is expected to continue into 2020.
Chippenham BID manager Kathryn Crosweller said, “One of Chippenham BID’s aims is to promote the business opportunities available in Chippenham, showing that Chippenham is a great location for new businesses and a good place for highly-skilled workers to seek employment.
"There is an enormous amount of diversity in the local area, and it is fantastic to be able to celebrate this through the Chippenham Business Awards.”
The Chippenham Business Awards is an opportunity for businesses to showcase what makes them unique, what they are proud of and how far they have come over the last year. It is the biggest business to business event in Chippenham, and entries are welcomed from businesses across all industries situated within a 5-mile radius of SN15 3HU.
There is only one change to the entry categories this year: the introduction of Micro Business of the Year.
“One of the things Chippenham has in abundance is micro businesses, and most businesses start life with just one or two employees<' said Kathryn.
"We are looking forward to seeing entries from the smallest businesses in the area and pleased to provide this platform for them to promote themselves.”
The Chippenham Business Awards is sponsored by Alliance Pharmaceuticals Ltd. CEO Peter Butterfield said: “We were pleased to be part of the 2019 Chippenham Business Awards last year and were proud to win two awards, including Chippenham Business of the Year.
"Chippenham is really important to us, as our headquarters, and our building particularly so with its fine heritage as the landmark Nestle factory in Chippenham.
"As the outgoing winner we would really like to be able to pass on the baton to the overall winner of the 2020 Chippenham Business Awards, and we’re thrilled to be joining the event as title sponsor.”
