Devizes-based law firm Wansbroughs has strengthened its commercial and commercial property teams with the promotion of two new partners.
Philip Wigg, newly-appointed partner in the commercial team, trained and qualified at K&L Gates in the City in 2006, before moving to Forsters in 2010 where he worked until joining Wansbroughs in November 2013 as an associate solicitor.
He specialises in all aspects of corporate law as well as partnership and commercial matters. He has particular experience in dealing with mergers, acquisitions and disposals in various sectors, joint ventures and shareholders' agreements, and advising on corporate re-structuring.
“I am delighted to have joined such a successful and established partnership as Wansbroughs,” said Philip.
“I look forward to continuing to provide an excellent service to our clients and to playing my part in the firm’s continued growth and success.”
Laura Ingram Hill, newly appointed partner in the commercial property team, trained and practised following qualification with City firm Simmons & Simmons before moving to Burges Salmon in Bristol. She joined Wansbroughs as an associate solicitor in 2014.
Laura acts for owners, occupiers, investors and developers on all aspects of their commercial property legal requirements. She specialises in landlord and tenant work as well as advising clients on acquisitions and disposals and property development.
“I am tremendously excited to have joined the partnership at Wansbroughs and am very much looking forward to working with my fellow partners in furthering the excellent and long-standing reputation of the firm, both locally and nationally,” said Laura.
Company chairman Stuart McGregor-Johnson added “Philip and Laura have been a valuable and welcome addition to the commercial and commercial property teams respectively, and I wish them a long and happy career with the firm.”
