Law firm expands commercial team with appointment of new partner and trainee solicitor

Patrick Mears and Karling LauPatrick Mears and Karling LauLaw firms Goughs has appointed commercial property specialist and partner Patrick Mears and trainee solicitor Karling Lau to its expanding commercial team.

Patrick has joined Melksham-based Goughs from a leading law firm in Bath and brings with him more than twenty years’ experience in non-contentious commercial work.

Karling worked closely with Patrick for many years in his previous firm and both joined Goughs at the same time.

Patrick specialises in commercial property, corporate and general commercial transactions including, commercial landlord and tenant work, sales and acquisitions of commercial property, pension scheme transactions and business sales and acquisitions.

Always adopting a hands on approach, Patrick prides himself on his ability to communicate advice clearly and concisely, ensuring that his clients understand their options and feel well-equipped to make important decisions.  

His appointment has strengthened the number of lawyers working in the Firm’s Commercial Team to fourteen.
