Leading businesswomen aim to get Swindon exporting

Three of Swindon’s most high profile businesswomen have joined forces to offer SMEs in Swindon and Wiltshire advice on exporting.

Denise O’Leary, Alison Edgar and Sue Marchant and have combined their expertise in marketing, sales and finance to provide a free seminar targeted to Small businesses that have never considered exporting before.

Never thought of Exporting? is a beginner’s breakfast workshop, will be held at the newly refurbished Double Tree by Hilton hotel in Swindon on February 7 from 7am to 9.30am. Attendance is free.

The agenda covers topics such as researching your market, trade missions and managing cash, and also features a ‘fireside chat’ with Karen Knight, international trade adviser with Department for International Trade.

Denise O’Leary of Purpol Marketing was winner of the WIBA New Business of the Year 2016 and Women in Marketing – Best Independent Consultant 2016.

Alison Edgar – ‘the Entrepreneur’s Godmother’ – is recognised as one of the UK’s top 10 business advisors, and GB Entrepreneur of the Year, special merit.

Sue Marchant of Cool Ventures is a CIMA qualified management accountant, who was nominated for the Small Firms Enterprise Development Initiative Adviser of the Year.
