Villagers get new pavilion with help of Hills

Written by Peter Davison on .

A new pavilion has opened in a village on the Wiltshire/Gloucestershire border, thanks in part to a grant from Swindon-based Hills Waste Solutions.

The smart new timber pavilion at Meysey Hampton replaced a dilapidated 50-year-old structure. The £35,000 project cost was bolstered with a £15,000 grant from Hills through the Landfill Communities Fund, a tax credit scheme which is administered for Hills by Community First based in Devizes.

Hills Group chief executive Mike Hill (pictured left) celebrated the opening with Mary Hardwidge, grants officer for Community First (right).
