Westbury’s Woodland Estate has welcomed its newest addition – a speciality coffee company renowned for its quality products and ethical ethos.
Easy José Coffee has signed a 10-year deal with landlord HPH Commercial Property on a 5,511sq ft unit on the popular estate joining a host of other successful businesses including Prezola, Vestry Online, and A Great Read.
Carter Jonas acted as agents for HPH for the deal.
The speciality coffee company was founded by José Melim in 2010 after a decade of working in the catering industry across Europe.
Using his background as a former Barista Champion and Speciality Coffee Association qualified coffee trainer, José provides exceptional coffee, ethically sourced and fairly priced.
“We spend time in-country working with coffee farming communities, investing in processes that produce a quality product,” said José.
“We also aim to cut the supply chain to its shortest length by working directly with farmers and community leaders. Once back in the UK we roast our coffee on the greenest roaster currently available on the market.”
The move to Westbury from their previous base at Hartley Farm, Winsley has allowed the company to ramp up all areas of the business, including adding a coffee training school to their offer – both for trade clients and home enthusiasts.
“We work with Conti espresso machinery and Compak grinders and we’re also now able to stock a wide selection of barista tools and other ancillary items such as hot chocolate and tea, so that we’re a one-stop shop for our clients, cutting delivery costs and adding value.”
Lindsay Holdoway, managing director of HPH Commercial Property said, “José and his team’s passion for coffee is evident in everything Easy José does.
The company has firmly established itself as a market leader when it comes to excellent, ethically sourced coffee.”
“The Woodland Estate has become a hub for successful businesses in Westbury and will serve as a central hub to allow Easy José to continue to do what they do best.”
