Swindon redevelopment opportunity comes to the market

Written by Peter Davison on .

Brunel HouseBrunel HouseA large commercial unit in the centre of Swindon has come to the market with property agents Kavanaghs.

Brunel House occupies the southwest side of Havelock Square, which in 2016 enjoyed an £850,000 spruce-up including new seating, paving, lighting and trees.

The property previously had planning permission for residential conversion of the upper parts, which have their own self contained access at pavement level.

Stephen Brickell, Kavanaghs' commercial property manager, said: "To maximise the opportunity we envisage the ground floor being separated into two smaller self contained shops with the first and second floors, which total over 3,000 sq ft, being converted into self contained residential accommodation.

"There previously was also planning consent for a mansard roof with a further floor of residential to be added at roof level. The possibilities for a purchaser are endless."

The property is for sale freehold with vacant possession at an asking price of £575,000, but offers are invited.
