Business leaders who import or export goods or services are being offered the chance to hear from three industry experts about the way Brexit might impact their business – and what they can do to mitigate the challenges.
Brexit Unravelled – Trade, Customs and Supply Chain is being hosted by Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce at the Marriott Hotel, Pipers Way, Swindon on Tuesday, September 24 from 9.30am until 12.30pm.
A panel including Richard Perriman, vice president of supply chain development at global logistics firm Horizon International, Anne White, head of international trade and compliance Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce, and Ian Worth, head of Customs consultancy at accountancy firm Harwood Hutton will analyse the various post-Brexit trade scenarios, provide practical insights into how they would work and what steps businesses should be taking to prepare.
Tim Major, account executive at Swindon Chamber of Commerce, said: "Whether you are an importer, exporter, involved in logistics and supply chain, currently deal with the EU and or the rest of the world, this event will aim to address the issues and challenges that Thames Valley companies may face or are facing in the current global trade environment from a customs and logistics perspective.
"Every business trading with European Union and the Rest of World will need to consider the implications of BREXIT on their transactions, the implied increased level of administration, the financial implications and subsequent impact of additional costs on their selling and buying price of goods unless mitigation can be found."
The event is free to attend for chamber members, and costs £30 for non-members. Due to high demand for spaces, places are limited to two per company.
