Salisbury-based estate agent Ewemove has expanded after acquiring local competitor Martin & Co Estate & Letting Agents.

James and Malcolm White, branch directors of EweMove Salisbury, have purchased the portfolio of Martin & Co Salisbury, a well-established lettings agency that has been operating in the area for many years.

The deal will see EweMove take over the Martin & Co office on Castle Street and its portfolio of 150+ managed properties on top of its current lettings business.

The two Martin & Co team members, Chris McNiven and Jodie Ford have also been retained.

“We are absolutely delighted to have completed on this purchase,” said Malcolm. “Having launched EweMove in 2016, the business has enjoyed lots of successes from a standing start and we’ve helped lots of local buyers, sellers, landlords and tenants.

"But to see the business grow in this way is hugely exciting – particularly as Martin & Co is an agency with such an established reputation in the area.

“Our EweMove business is very much based on a genuine passion for property and an absolute commitment to customer care. We’re hugely excited about the year ahead and look forward to helping more people locally with their property plans.”

Ewemove is a national franchise with 126 branches across the UK. It is now the fourth largest estate agency group in the country.
