Business author Denise O'Leary could be a winner again, as her first book has reached the finals of a prestigious award.
WINNER – How to WIN Business Awards has been shortlisted in the Specialist Business Book Category 2021 at The Business Book Awards.
Winner, launched in January 2020, has already been an Amazon Number 1 best seller in the PR category.
In the book, Chippenham-based Denise shares her award-winning process, telling the reader where to look for awards to enter, advising on what evidence to gather and providing tips on what techniques to adopt so that your entry stands out for the judges.
Winning an award has numerous benefits for your business enabling you to: gain a competitive advantage; achieve independent validation; generate free PR, boost team morale and secure trust in your business.
“I was shaking with the live reveal of the shortlisted authors, and to see my book cover shown as a finalist in the Specialist Business Book Category was amazing," said Denise.
"We also had great virtual networking opportunities to chat with the publishing industry. My publisher Panoma Press was thrilled to have five authors who made it onto the shortlist across different categories.”
The judging panel said they had been overwhelmed by the outstanding quality of the entries. There were 275 books submitted this year and they wished to congratulate each and every author.
The Business Book Awards recognise and highlight the quality and variety of business books in the market. They offer industry-wide recognition to new and established authors writing on a multiplicity of subjects for a diverse readership.
They welcome entries from publishers and all authors published in the UK, and instil aspiration in entrants and pride in winners.
The Judging Panel is made up of experts from business, writing, publishing, and other related fields, with expertise in their relevant category.
“I wrote Winner so I could share my insight as an international and UK multi-award winner and judge – so I do hope that it helps a lot more business owners, marketers and sales professionals gain the confidence to put themselves forward for awards,” said Denise.
The winners of the Business Book Awards will be announced at a virtual ceremony on Tuesday, May 25.
