Swindon tech start-ups are being offered the opportunity to showcase their product as part of the Global Innovation Forum.

Organiser Osaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry has offered Swindon Chamber of Commerce two places at the forum, which will take place using a virtual platform.

Set to take place in Osaka in October 2021, the event regularly attracts visitors from across the world, and provides a unique platform for those seeking to showcase their new products and services to the Japanese market.

More than 30 innovative start-ups and businesses, from more than 10 countries, will be exhibiting at GIF Osaka 2021.

The fully sponsored opportunity is open to businesses who meet any of the following conditions:

  • Start-ups with advanced technology in Smart City, Digital Transformation, Carbon Neutral, Food-Tech/Agri-Tech, Health-Tech, Robotics.
  • Start-ups with test pilot models that are almost complete and able to provide demonstrations.
  • Start-ups interested in collaborating with Japanese or overseas companies (technology or capital)

Running from October 26 to 29, presentations, business meetings and networking opportunities will also be included. Each start-up company will have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a selected group of Japanese companies through a pre-arranged online booking system.

Follow up meetings between exhibitors and meeting applicants will take place at the end of November.
