Business owners Natalie Sherman and Pippa Birch have been shortlisted as finalists in the Best Business Women Awards which recognise and reward female business talent from around the world.

Natalie, of Naturally Social, is a finalist in the Best Business Women in Marketing/PR category while Pippa, from Pipster Solutions, has been shortlisted as a finalist in four categories - Best Business, Best Boss, Best Business Services, and Most Inspiring Business Woman.

The Corsham-based communications agency Naturally Social was set up by the local resident in 2015 to work with companies and organisations that put purpose before profit.

Since the launch of Naturally Social, the company has supported the impact of over 200 ambitious charities and ethical companies, enhancing their communications and creating real results: from helping Wiltshire Air Ambulance raise £10,000 in just 72 hours to fund its new flight room, to more recently partnering with Priority IT in getting more than 850 donated laptops refurbished and gifted back to communities to help bridge the digital divide across Wiltshire and neighbouring counties.

Pipster Solutions – based at Heywood House in Westbury – is a bid consultancy that helps business win the work they need to grow, delivered through excellent bid management, writing and practical advice, all delivered in a supportive and collaborative manner.

Natalie said: “Being recognised in this year’s Best Business Women Awards is amazing.

"As a small business the past 18 months have been quite challenging, to be shortlisted for a gold or silver in this global award has made all the hard work worth it.

"All the women nominated are at the forefront of their expertise and having them all in one room at the final will be incredible. I’m so proud to be a part of it.”

Pippa said “This is such an amazing honour. #TeamPipster was formed at the height of the pandemic when public procurement took off again and my clients were planning for their futures.

"I resisted taking on staff for such a long time, but it's been the best business decision I have ever made. I now have a team of brilliant women who provide a greater service to our clients.

"Existing and new clients are winning the work they need to flourish, and as a team, we have some fabulous plans for the future of Pipster Solutions.”

Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards, said: “The seventh year of these prestigious awards has proved to be the most challenging for business owners worldwide.

"The entries were judged by a panel of business experts who had a tough job reading hundreds of entries. To be a finalist in this competition is a major achievement and a mark of quality. All our finalists either win a Silver or Gold Award.

"The businesswomen selected have been chosen for their business acumen, determination, creativity, and tenacity. All our finalists are all shining examples of being successful entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges.”

Natalie will attend the Gala Final at the Hilton Wembley on October 15 where the Gold Winners of each category will be announced.
