Motor dealer backs socially-distanced sponsored walk in aid of carers

A charity that supports around 21,000 carers in Swindon has raised more than £2,000 from a sponsored walk, after receiving the backing of Pebley Beach.

Every year supporters of the charity Swindon Carers put their best feet forward during Carers Week for Walk A Mile, a fundraising walk around the town – and every year Pebley Beach pledges to match their fundraising efforts pound for pound up to £1,000.

Swindon firm dispatches 700 military veterans to Covid frontline

A Swindon-based security specialist has dispatched 700 military veterans to the frontline in the battle against Covid-19 – manning testing stations across the UK.

SSGC mobilised the hundreds of former troops in a matter of weeks to help marshal the testing centres as a supplier to both Serco and Sodexo, which are managing a number of centres on behalf of the Department of Health and Social Care.
