Emma Tozer, Jason Furnell, Alex Jones and Sammi JonesA quartet of new starters has swelled the head count at a Chippenham-based automotive learning and development consultancy.

The four have joined rts Group, which specialises in creating and delivering learning and development programmes for automotive manufacturers, and now has more than 50 staff as well as some 200 associates around the globe.

Founded in 1989, the company counts among its clients well-known brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Toyota, Mazda and Nissan.

Emma Tozer (top left) joins rts as an HR adviser. Emma has more than a decade experience in HR, having worked previously for a charity, a housing association, a software developer and a book print manufacturer. Emma, who has a four-year-old daughter, said: “I am really enjoying rts, they are a great team and are all very supportive. It’s a growing company, and I have spent a lot of time so far working on recruitment.”

After beginning his career in retail, Jason Furnell (top right) moved to Thames Water as an account manager, followed by a similar role with a vehicle fleet support company. He then moved to what is now the largest IT training company in the UK where he spent ten years supporting their biggest clients which include household names such as Barclays and Nestle.

He said: “I was seconded to a project team, and really enjoyed that area of work but having progressed as far as I could, I craved a project role that would challenge me, so was delighted when the role of project manager at rts was offered to me.” Jason, 37, who is married with two children, is project managing for rts clients including Nissan and Toyota.

Experienced web developer Alex Jones, 22 (bottom left) has joined rts as eSolutions developer, to support IT-based learning and development for clients. Originally from Swansea, Alex had previously been a web designer for the Regional Learning Partnership, overseeing several local authority-based websites in Wales.

Sammi Jones (bottom right) joins rts as client services team administrator. Sammi, 24, began her career in a call centre, and prior to rts was an administrator for a large fitness organisation. She said: “The automotive training sector is a big change from the world of fitness, but I am really enjoying it and the team are great.” In her spare time, Sammi runs a dance school and is training to be a dance examiner.

Managing director, Malcolm Miller, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Emma, Jason, Alex and Sammi to the team here in Chippenham. Their roles are across many of the departments here at rts Group, demonstrating how we are growing and needing more support in all areas.”
