Pharmaceutical and health product specialist group Wasdell is on a recruitment drive so it can fulfil new contracts for products to combat coronavirus.
Contract wins to produce packaging for antiseptic cleaning products used in healthcare settings during the Covid-19 pandemic have meant the Swindon-based group needs more staff in a number of different disciplines.
Chief operating officer Daniel Tedham says the company is proud to be doing its bit towards fighting transmission of the virus and is confident that it can fill the new vacancies with Swindon-based talent.
“We’ve been working with several household names for some time on products associated with combatting the virus,” said Daniel, “but the strength of demand for antiseptics has meant that we’ve had to ramp up our operations even further.
“Fortunately, we know from having been based in Swindon so long that there is talent and experience out there that will be a great fit with the roles that we’re advertising.”
The group, which is one of Europe’s largest independent suppliers to the global pharmaceutical and nutritional industries, is looking for quality assurance specialists, mechanical engineers with an aptitude for electrics, and production line leaders and coordinators.
