Expanding law firm Awdry Bailey & Douglas has made a number of new appointments during the first month of the new year, with two new solicitors and three other members of staff joining its ranks.

Commercial solicitor Rosanne Pitta-Browning has joined the firm's Chippenham office.

Rosanne has joined ABD from a national firm in Bristol and specialises in commercial property. She acts for landlords and tenants drafting and negotiating leases, licenses to assign/alter and rent deposit deeds. She can also assist clients with the sale and purchase of companies, business assets and commercial properties and advises on potentially problematic restrictive covenants.

Meanwhile, commercial solicitor, Gary Robson-Hemmings has joined the firm's Marlborough office.

Gary is also a commercial property solicitor and joins the firm after being based in the Thames Valley for over twenty years. As well as being a senior solicitor, Gary is also a chartered surveyor. He has acted on the acquisition of a number of businesses including large corporate headquarters, warehouses and the sales and purchases of shops of all sizes and locations.

The firm has also appointed commercial legal secretary Heather Welsh, family law secretary Christine Coote, and a new conveyancing legal secretary, Deborah Carr Jones.

Alistair Everett, managing partner of Awdry Bailey and Douglas, said: “Thanks to the dedication and commitment of all the fantastic people here at ABD and our remote working capabilities, we have been able to look after our clients efficiently and effectively with the minimum of disruption during the strangest of years.

"Our flexibility and decisiveness has enabled us to meet an increased demand for our services, while keeping in touch with our clients, progressing their work and helping them achieve what needed to be done during the course of this pandemic.

"We are acutely aware that these are still very uncertain times, and this looks set to be the case this year too. However, we are committed to providing excellent client service and are delighted to welcome a series of very talented individuals who share our passion.

"There are likely to be a number of challenges in the year ahead, but if you are an ambitious, proactive person who is passionate about providing exceptional client service we would very much like to hear from you.”
