Energy supplier announces appointment of new CEO

Renewable energy supplier Good Energy has named its new CEO. Nigel Pocklington, the former chief commercial officer of Moneysupermarket, will succeed current CEO and founder Juliet Davenport from May 1.

Juliet will remain on the board of Chippenham-based Good Energy Group, stepping down as CEO and taking up the role of non-executive director of Good Energy, while remaining chairman of subsidiary Zap-Map.

Nigel is a widely experienced senior executive with a strong commercial, digital, and operational track record spanning over 25 years. He most recently served as chief commercial officer of Moneysupermarket Group.

Prior to this, he held a variety of senior roles within online travel shopping company Expedia, including president of e-bookers and chief marketing officer of Hotels.com. He spent a decade of his early career at publishing firm Pearson, including a period leading the digital operations of the Financial Times.

Nigel is also a non-executive director for Kin + Carta, a global digital transformation business focused on helping make the journey to becoming a digital business tangible, sustainable and profitable, where he chairs the remuneration committee and is a member of the audit and nomination committees.
