A charity that brings high quality opera and dance to new audiences in Wiltshire has won the financial backing of Devizes-based law firm Wansbroughs.
Operaluna was established in Marlborough in 1995, with the aim of bringing top-notch performances with affordable ticket prices to the county.
This summer's performance is the English language version of Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky. Olivier Award-winning company OperaUpClose transposes the 19th century story of the sexual awakening of central character Tatyana to the early 1960s, in a world on the cusp of the women’s liberation movement.
Wansbroughs are the headline sponsor of the performance, which takes place at Marlborough College's Ellis Theatre on Saturday, July 7 from 6.30pm. Tickets, priced £15 and £30, are available from http://operaluna.com
