Staff at Marlborough-based wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin have swapped their suits for overalls and calculators for paintbrushes as part of their annual volunteering day.
Working in two groups, 17 members of staff went into Preshute Primary School during the half-term holidays to clean, tidy and paint the premises.
The spruce-up was organised by Brewin Dolphin paraplanner Heather Randall, whose daughter Matilda is in Year Two at the school.
"As a full-time working mum, I sometimes feel guilty that I can't help out at school," she admitted.
"So as an alternative I thought that I and my colleagues at Brewin Dolphin could use our annual volunteering day to help at the school.
"Brewin Dolphin encourages each of its staff to take a day out of the office and work with the communities in which we live and work, and make a positive contribution to the wider community and society."
The initiative – which was shared on a community Facebook page – was widely praised by other parents. Children will get to see the team's handiwork when they return to school on Monday.
