Digital marketing firm lend a hand – and a van – to hospice

Staff at digital marketing agency Dentons gave up their Saturday to help raise funds for Dorothy House Hospice.

The firm also lent a van – normally used for distributing the well-known Dentons Directories – to assist with the collection of Christmas trees from homes in the Westbury area.

For a small donation to the charity, householders could have their tree collected. Last year the Christmas tee initiative raised more than £27,000.

The move was just part of a range of support that Dentons has offered Dorothy House Hospice this year. The firm is also supporting the charity with advice and assistance to boost its online presence.

Robin Denton, director of Dentons Digital, said: "Dentons Digital chose to support Dorothy House because both organisations provide services across a similar area. Dorothy House gives care and support to patients and their families across a 700 square mile area, which includes Bath & North East Somerset, as well as parts of Wiltshire and Somerset.

"Most of this overlaps with the locations covered by the Dentons Directories, a sister company of Dentons Digital. It seems the perfect partnership for Dentons Digital to be supporting a charity which provides care to the communities which Dentons has been serving for more than 50 years.

“Dorothy House is an incredible charity. Everyone in the area is extremely thankful for the hard work they do, and the wonderful care that they provide in the most difficult of circumstances, completely free of charge. We are so pleased to be able to do our bit for the charity, and to work with them in the future.”
