Cyclists to ride through the night for women's charities

Written by Peter Davison.

Four team members from Swindon and Marlborough law firm Royds Withy King are to cycle through the night to raise money for women's charities.

Elaine Glass, Becky Matthews, Dawn Patterson and Joanna Cox hope to raise over £800 for Breast Cancer Care, Ovarian Cancer Action and Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust.

The four will cycle 50km through London, starting with a training session at the Olympic Velodrome in Stratford before passing illuminated landmarks including the London Eye and Tate Modern as part of the sixth Women v Cancer Ride the Night event – which has raised £6m for the charities over its six years.

The team are fundraising for the event with a charity curry night at the Jewel in the Crown in Swindon on March 26 and a raffle.
