A Michelin star awarded restaurant near Marlborough has been put up for sale. Commercial property experts Christie & Co are marketing The Harrow at Little Bedwyn with a guide price of £735,000.
For the past 21 years the pub, which can accommodate up to 34 diners and is famed for its modern British cuisine, has been run by Roger and Sue Jones.
Over that time it has received an array of prestigious accolades, recognising the restaurant for both its food and wine offering.
Awards include AA Restaurant of the Year 2011, AA Wine List of the Year on two occasions, and a Michelin star that it held for 12 years.
Chef Roger said: "The decision has not been easy in many ways, but we feel that we have achieved everything we can and more, so it is time to move onto other things.
“Our experience has been made possible by the loyalty and support of our dear friends and family, not forgetting top suppliers, talented winemakers and an amazing trade that has seen us through so many highlights.”
Nicholas Calfe, director at Christie & Co, said: "This delightful 19th-century former public house has been an award-winning Michelin star restaurant for many years.
"Whilst inevitably this accolade will depart with our clients, its reputation will remain, allowing new ambitious owners the chance to re-establish The Harrow as a quality dining venue."
