Two retail premises on Marlborough's popular High Street have come to the market with commercial property agent Kilpatrick & Co.
137 High Street was previously occupied by fashion brand Jaeger, which went into administration in January this year. The retailer opened its doors in the town in 2018, but nationally was hit hard by the pandemic.
The property is a mid-terraced Grade II listed four-storey building with timber frame shopfronts, recessed doorway, and prominent glazed display windows, which look out onto the high street.
Further character is added by the Palladian and bay windows on the first and second floor levels with attractive brick and part tile elevations under a tiled roof.
There are sales areas on the ground and first floor levels with storeroom and staff area on the second and third floors. In addition, there is a basement storage area and the property extends to 1,581 sq ft in total.
The property is available on to let on a new lease for a term to be agreed at an asking rent of £26,000 per annum.
Kilpatrick & Co is also marketing 109A High Street Marlborough, formerly occupied by Monsoon Accessorize, which is currently available to let as a whole or in two parts
It provides ground floor retail and ancillary accommodation extending to some 1,687sq ft with an asking rent of £62,500 per annum for the whole.
This week, Marlborough was named the fifth most vibrant high street in the UK in the Harper Dennis Hobbs 2021 Vitality Index, which rates 1,000 high streets in terms of the quality of the shopping experience.
